Recently, there have been a rise in cyber-attacks which has been becoming the greatest concern of almost all of the influential organizations in the whole world. You might not know what a cyber-attack is. This is an attempt in gaining control to the computer and tracking the movements of an individual or a group with not having a permission. In fighting against another country, this could be the newest form of weapon. This is known as the cyber warfare wherein they choose not to waste bullets and money since a country could be shut down in just a few minutes through aiming power grids or national banks or others.
A few years back, hackers are doing this just for fun and they used to target a single user computers, however, they were beginning to form groups and these are powerful ones in order to attack big shots. There was an organization which reported that their computer system had a major breach and that it was targeted by hackers whom they are believing to have been connected to another country. These hackers were stealing their email and other crucial documents.
You might not have known that emails like Gmail was once attacked wherein the accounts of high state officials, journalists, military personnel and so many more were hacked. Tracing the attack was the only action taken. Hackers were said to be found from a province to which that they were also saying that they must not point fingers without a proper proof to present.
There is this one certain group of hackers who have sent an email of warning to National Health Security in UK to which that they were being sufficiently kind not to attack them, however, they were stating in the email that servers in the network was simply reachable.
For that matter, keep in mind that the NHS has hundreds of computers put out there. This kind of organization will really have a huge job when it comes to the IT knowing that they have wings on the different countries around the world. Thinking about it, with just a system update, it will cost millions, so what more would it cost to update all of their systems. Proprietary is what most of the software the NHS is using and this means that they will have to develop their own software to be able to do their work.
You would have taken too much time and effort when it comes to solving problems like such. The CMMS system is what most of the companies are using in order to deal with maintenance regularly and also the updates happening in the company.
You can do a research about what is happening on the internet but I hope this helps as well.
