The first, and one of the most important things that you can do to become more productive is to be smarter with your time. When you’re constantly distracted whether it be with Facebook, or text messages, you’re not getting nearly enough work done as you could be. There are distractions all around us, especially when we work in an environment with a ton of them. Working on a computer, for example, gives us ample amount of space to distract ourselves. However, there is a simple fix for this. Install a web browser blocker that blocks certain websites for a predetermined amount of time. Not only will this get your to refocus your brain on what’s important, but it will also get you out of the habit of constantly going from one project to another. Studies have shown that people check their social media and messages up to 500 times today, totally a crazy 5 hours of our waking hours. If that sounds high to you, it’s been shown that most people are wrong about how much they spend on social media. Track your hours on your phone, or make sure you’re not distracting yourself and you’ll have a ton of more time to be productive.

Organizing your life is also an excellent way to make sure that you’re more productive as a human. If you take the time each morning to review your tasks, and each night to write down what you need to do for the next day, you’ll be much better at building healthier and more productive habits. This is essential when it comes to getting work done and producing more content, or getting work done. By creating a plan for your work, and sticking to it, you’ll find that you free up your time just based on eliminating the time in-between tasks. That time in between your tasks, or when you think you’re multitasking can actually add up to a huge amount of time wasted, and you’re not going to be as good when it comes to your work. Instead, you should make sure that you’re building healthy habits by working on one project at a time and dedicating the right amount of effort for each one. Organization helps a ton when it comes to getting work done more efficiently, so organize your workspace, and free up all that extra time you’ve been wasting.

When it comes to being more productive, you’ll notice times when your body is less likely to stay motivated to actually concentrate and get the work done. This happens to everybody, but if you want to make sure that you’re being as productive as possible, it may be a good idea to think of ways that you can cut this down in your life. Getting enough sleep, worrying less about your broken car and renting Enterprise instead, and getting enough exercise are all ways that you can reduce anxiety that keeps us distracted from working. It’s also a good idea to make sure that you write down at least three pages every morning in a journal. This will reduce the number of things that we have running around in our heads, and can make us more productive in the long run.
